The City of Moreno Valley, CA has won the first place for the Innovative Use of Technology award at the Inland Empire Economic Partnership’s 9th Annual Turning Red Tape to Red Carpet Awards. The recognition was given for the implementation of ePermitHub Digital Plan Room within the Accela Civic Platform, which helped the city to quickly and conveniently serve its residents and businesses with an electronic plan submittal process. The city’s Digital Plan Room was a vital resource during the pandemic, which allowed businesses to keep moving at the speed of the industry. The award acknowledges the city’s commitment to innovating ways to make it easy for companies to do business in Moreno Valley. The City also received several runner-up awards at the event, and the IEEP honored City Manager Mike Lee for Leadership in Public Service.
